well he is 25 but he'll always be my baby boy. He called yesterday morning and said his tooth was hurting and could I get him into the dentist. By the time I got him an appointment he was in severe and I mean severe pain. Our dentist couldn't do it because he needed an oral surgeon well he couldn't see him until today. That poor boy..he didn't even get relief with vicodan, prescription iuprofen and tylenol with codeine together. I felt so bad for him. Gramma (me) took the day off to take him. Jackson and I waited in the lobby while he had surgery. Jackson wore poor old gramma out (he's 2 now). I had to come home and take a nap..whew... Nap was awesome! He is doing better now but it was a bad couple of days. Now on to some better news.
I have a couple of finishes to share. It's really hard for me to call it a 2010 finish when I stitched most of it in 2009 but technically I finished stitching in the new year. I have finished Golfing for my son. I love the way it turned out especially with the charms. They are so stinkin cute. If you can't see them they are a tree, golfer and the flag. I am in the process of creating the frame but here it is...I apologize in advance I cannot take good pictures..no matter how hard I try ..sorry :(
Hinzeit "Golfing"
The next thing that I have finished is from Lizzie Kate
I have stitched up thru july of the Flip it Bits..I will show you as the months go by. I tried to do some differently. (not all are triangles) I love the fabric I found for the backing it looked like snow balls to me. I also found some fuzzy scarf yarn that I thought would make a good trim. I love it among my snowmen collection by Boyds Bears..
and last but not least I took some pictures of my new start. Somewhere in this crazy blog world I signed up for a SAL Christmas starting in January...I cannot find it now. Hopefully I will soon. I was going to start Shakespeares Peddlers' Jenny Bean Christmas which I am still going to do but...I finally found this chart that I had been looking for forever. It was from my favorite designers Barb and Alma, (Blackbird of course) One of our very good customers had brought in this design all stiched up for us to frame for her. (We do custom framing)I fell in love with it. I am a sucker for houses. Ever since then I have wanted it so badly. I had seen it on Ebay but didn't want to pay $135...so I waited and waited then..it appeared for alot(alot) less and I won it . I have been just giddy ever since. It even came with the fabric to stich it on. I have all of the colors...so off I go!! Here's a pic...
Well we are having another blizzard...I am not sure I will be able to go to work tomorrow...at least I can stay home with hubby.. stitch, cuddle up with my blankies, doggies and put in a movie. Sounds good to me!
Mmmm, toothaches are the WORST! I hope he is feeling much better very soon.
