Progress...

I finally feel like I made some progress..I have some pictures to show you. I think when the sun finally decided to show it's bright happy face...it gave me some needed energy! Mind you it is FREEEEZZZZZING! I think that our high for today will be 12...brrrr, but the sun sure is welcome! :0)
I also enjoy embroidery and make alot of stitched pillows and small framed things for my booth. Hopefully I will get them sewed up and there by Tuesday to sell or whats the point...right?

The next embroidered piece I am going to keep, it took forever. The date on it when I started was 2004..LOL! I should put a finished date...six years not bad  awfully slow. I had most of it finished just lacked the alphabet. I am going to frame it. It is pretty large. 14 x14.

Then I made a wool appliqued piece for a friend for Valentines.

This is much more primitive in  person ..must be the picture taker!..me!

close ups...

Now for some stiching. I have a Valentines that I can't wait to show you but...it has to get to my exchange partner first! .. I am making progress on my Blackbird "Where my Heart Blooms".

Wow..that house has alot of stitches. There is a problem but we'll talk about that later. :( I will press on.
I also stitched this cute snowman..Pattern is from Curtis Boehringer. I stitched it on an 11count and plan to make a stand up. We'll see.

I am so proud of myself...some WIP's done(stitched)! (finishing to come)
I also finished my Lizzie Kate for February...I put it away for safe keeping and I connot find it. I will keep looking hopefully I can find before February ends..lol!
Have a great week thanks for the comments and visits...they really make my day!

All the goodies...ummm candy is already missing...sneaky Hubby..
I did have a big bag of Valentines Kisses..Thanks again Casey ..Awesome!

Really getting tired of winter!

I know I have read several of your blogs and it seems like everywhere has been getting all kinds of bad weather. This is definitely one of the worst winters I have spent in SD and we have been here since 1991. We have had a ground blizzard today and all of the interstates are closed. I barely made it to work (30) miles and made it home just before the roads closed.  You literally could not see 1 ft in front of the car...I am not usually one to complain about the weather, I love the seasons but ....COME ON...enough... WINTER!..

A quick update...

Thanks for all of the well wishes for my son. He is doing much better now. I think the worst for this round is behind us but he is going to have to get his wisdom teeth done next...wow...the dental expense is crazy. Even with insurance it sure is alot a dough..
I do have pictures of my projects I will post my progress (or lack of ) as soon as I get the pics downloaded.
We are finally having a bit of a warm up and things are melting...Hooray! for now. I hope we have a nice steady melt cuz if not...we gonna have a flood. TaTa for now...

Ouch!! My poor baby...

well he is 25 but he'll always be my baby boy. He called yesterday morning and said his tooth was hurting and could I get him into the dentist. By the time I got him an appointment he was in severe and I mean severe pain. Our dentist couldn't do it because he needed an oral surgeon well he couldn't see him until today. That poor boy..he didn't even get relief with vicodan, prescription iuprofen and tylenol with codeine together. I felt so bad for him. Gramma (me) took the day off to take him. Jackson and I waited in the lobby while he had surgery. Jackson wore poor old gramma out (he's 2 now). I had to come home and take a nap..whew... Nap was awesome! He is doing better now but it was a bad couple of days. Now on to some better news.

I have a couple of finishes to share. It's really hard for me to call it a 2010 finish when I stitched most of it in 2009 but technically I finished stitching in the new year. I have finished Golfing for my son. I love the way it turned out especially with the charms. They are so stinkin cute. If you can't see them they are a tree, golfer and the flag.  I am in the process of creating the frame but here it is...I apologize in advance I cannot take good pictures..no matter how hard I try ..sorry :(

Hinzeit "Golfing"
The next thing that I have finished is from Lizzie Kate
I have stitched up thru july of the Flip it Bits..I will show you as the months go by. I tried to do some differently. (not all are triangles)  I love the fabric I found for the backing it looked like snow balls to me. I also found some fuzzy scarf yarn that I thought would make a good trim. I love it among my snowmen collection by Boyds Bears..

and last but not least I took some pictures of my new start. Somewhere in this crazy blog world I signed up for a SAL Christmas starting in January...I cannot find it now.  Hopefully I will soon. I was going to start Shakespeares Peddlers' Jenny Bean Christmas which I am still going to do but...I finally found this chart that I had been looking for forever. It was from my favorite designers Barb and Alma, (Blackbird of course) One of our very good customers had brought in this design all stiched up for us to frame for her. (We do custom framing)I fell in love with it. I am a sucker for houses. Ever since then I have wanted it so badly. I had seen it on Ebay but didn't want to pay $135...so I waited and waited then..it appeared for alot(alot) less and I won it . I have been just giddy ever since. It even came with the fabric to stich it on. I have all of the colors...so off I go!! Here's a pic...

Well we are having another blizzard...I am not sure I will be able to go to work tomorrow...at least I can stay home with hubby.. stitch, cuddle up with my blankies, doggies and put in a movie. Sounds good to me!

We also went to lunch with Jason and Jackson..it was a great day! Not quite over yet so ...talk to you tomorrow. I am trying to finish up this darn Golfing. i have had to frog it at least 2x. I am going to finish up tonight. I will hopefully post a picture tomorrow. I wanna get started on  my next project. Since its for the holiday exchange I can't post a picture. Ta Ta for now!

2010...wow..

HAPPY NEW YEAR ! I can't believe that we are done with a decade.

I love a brand new start. I am going to post new goals and wishes and update my blog tomorrow. I am vegging today. Just watched The Hangover...very funny. Tomorrow is my 22 anniversary. We wanted to get married on New Years Day but our paster couldn't do it. So we settled on the 2nd, easy for hubby to remember...lol.. We are going to spend tomorrow going to the movies. I picked one and so did my DH..so we are seeing Sherlock Holmes and It's complicated. Sounds like fun to me. We love the movies. Then we'll stop for some mexican food. I can't wait.
