Fall....my favorite time of the year!

I am so excited! I absolutely love this time of year. I finally caught the stitchy bug again! I've got some things to show you. I stitched "Halloween" from last years Just Cross Stitch magazine. I had stitched it very small on 30 count over one, then I found this awesome frame so I stitched it again on 11 count to fit the frame. I really like how it turned out.
These are just a few of the primitives that I have collected or made.
This shoe is one of my favorite things. It is hand-painted on an
old shoe last. It is beautiful in person.
See the flying witches...scary...

This is the back side. I love it!
Here is the pillow that I stitched a couple of years ago.
HAPPY FALL YA'LL!

I think that I have pictures...off we go...

First we have a picture of the wonderful exchange piece that I received from April. It is awesome as you can see. I wish that I had a better quality of the picture. I am forever struggling with that darn camera.

This is the pinkeep that I sent for the Birdie exchange.
Next is pictures of my WIP. "And to all a good Night" blackbird designs. This has been such a great stitch.  The actual color is much closer to the first.
One day we went to the zoo... my Niece Alex (8) and my great nephew Micah (3) and great neice Madison (5). They were very cooperative and took this nice picture by the Jaguar. And here is my grandson (newly 3) He did not want to take a picture by the Jaguar so he was pouting on the grass. Not typical. He is usually so happy to have a picture taken.
Moving on...Here he is much happier.
I love these last 3 pictures..just a happy summer day at Gramma's watering the garden..and Gramma with the water guns. He is so cute. Happy Stitching I am off to finish my WIP...Gotta start the fall stuff!

I received the cutest little birdie..

from my exchange and I haven't been able to post a picture. My camera will not let me transfer pictures to the computer. I don't know what the heck the problem is now but I am sorry to April because I don't have a picture. It's so cute.. I will keep working on the problem.

This last two weeks has been really traumatic. My little grandson turned 3 yrs old (good thing). Jackson got a terrible cough. Friday (13th) it is supposedly the croop. Sunday 8/15 was his Birthday. Really bad cough. I think that he still had fun but Monday we find out he has pneumonia. I took a couple of days off of work to keep him so Mommy and Daddy could work. Then Mommy gets it and Daddy too. PaPa managed to get it but Gramma so far so good.  We finally got over that and this morning my DIL rolled her grand Cherokee. I am so thankful to say that Jack and Katie are both ok..but that was one scary phone call. They rolled over a couple of times down an embankment off of a gravel road. THANK God that car was sturdy and HE was with them. Whew...that was a close one as my grandson likes to say. He also said he was hanging like a monkey in a tree. They landed upside down in a grove of trees. Everyone in SEAT BELTs hallelujah I am sure that saved them from being badly injured. Well... all seems okay tonight. Car is totalled but that is easily replaced.  I will work on pictures and hopefully post them tonight or tomorrow. I have much progress on my "and to all a good night." I love it. Starting on some fall goodies next. I love Fall! Favorite time of year for me.

I know...I'm so bad at blogging...

I just have been having so many problems with posting lately. I am going to try again. I have had my laptop serviced and I think it will work better now. I should have a lot to show you but I haven't been stitching too much. A little...first my "abc exchange" for the Hooked on Exchanging blog. I really like how this finishing turned out. I sent this to Malinda. Check out her blog its great.
Then I stitched this crow pillow for the Holiday exchanges blog 4th of July exchange. I made up the design because I knew my partner liked really primitive stuff from reading her blog. I think it turned out pretty good for designing it myself. I made a flanged pillow and love fabrics. I think that I will have to use the left overs for something for me! I sent this to Tanya. She has a great blog too. Beautiful house pictures too. If you like primitives at all check it out.
I ;received some awesome exchanges in return. This wonderful 4th of July exchange from Marjorie.
It is just beautiful. I love this holiday. Then from Jayne I received another biscornu. It is only my second one but they are both from Jayne. She had my name for the Christmas exchange.I absolutely love it and your stitching  Jayne is so beautiful. I am using your picture for some reason mine will not post. I hope that you do not mind if you do please let me know and I will get them off immediately. Well.. I do have more to post but I am waiting for my camara to charge so I can take some pictures. I don't have any other news to share I am just kicking back and enjoying the summer...it will be over all to quickly up here in South Dakota. Hope you all are enjoying your hot summer too!

It's June?

Oh my...time does get away from me. I have not been a good blogger. I think sometimes life gets in the way. Well thats all I've got to say about that!!

I have lots of stitchy stuff to show you. I have my May monthly by Lizzie Kate.

My June one I just love how it turned out. I found this awesome ric rac that reminded me of waves. What do you think?

Then I have my exchange piece that I did for Holiday Exchanges Blog. My poor partner had to wait because of my shoulder injury. I stitched part of a LHN design over 1. I used my own colors that I had on hand. I made it into a pillow.

Next is a freebie that I stitched for myself. It is Crow a design by Primitive Betty's.  I really like how it turned out . I have it displayed by my featherweight.

I will have more to show you after my exchanges get to their destinations.
Hope I didn't lose all of my follwers.  I love any comments ! Happy stitching! B

Happy Easter!

Today was an awesome day! Just relaxing. I received an adorable pillow from Lisa on my Holiday Exchanges group. Thank you so much Lisa, I love my pillow, La-d-Da is one of my very favorite designers. It is adorable. I did receive it on Friday but haven't had time to post. I think that you did a great job. I can't believe it was your first pillow done this way it looks wonderful. Thank you again! Here's a picture of the cute pillow. It is from La-d-da, "Little Tree" 28ct Honey Gold Annabelle, GAST black crow and sarsparilla. It is awesome!
I am working hard on my exchange piece, I think I got a little over zealous and with my shoulder injury I am slower than normal stitching. I hope to get it out on time. I will have other things to post soon. I hope everyones Easter was wonderful...God Bless!

Some exchange and stitchy stuff (lots of pics)

I received a wonderful exchange from Christina on the Holiday Exchanges. I absolutely love it. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved small things. I recieved the most beautiful little Easter Ornament. It is beautifully stitched and the beadwork is awesome. I LOVE it. I have it right by my stitching chair so I can look at it. The front has a cute little bunny and flower with the date, the back says Easter Blessings. I also got some extras...Cadbury eggs.. yum..Easter eggs, DMC threads and an adorable springy bag..Thank you so much!

See I told you its adorable!
Next up is my March LK Monthly. At least I am posting it in the correct month! Thought I would just go ahead and post Aprils so that I am actually ahead of the game...is that even possible.

I made this as a flatfold. It has an opening in the bottom to insert a little plastic L-shaped thing.
I don't know if everyone has seen these but I think that they are awesome especially for monthly type things. You can just pull that out and insert it ino the next months and the others will store flat. I really like it. I hope you can see it in the picture. I tried to get a close up but its clear. They come in 2 sizes. Great find!
Here is April...I really like making these little triangles.
I just realized that my Easter Exchange partner has received her package so I will post my pictures here.
I stitched 3 eggs from Homespun Elegance. I finished them as little egg pillows. It was my partners first exchange so I wanted it to be special for her. I also included some extra things some hazelnut chocolate carrots, some beads some fabric and a little kit from Bent Creek, Life is Good. i found a relly pretty box from our local Michaels. It looked like spring and held everything perfectly. Fun to do!~
The top one I rouched chocolate ribbon for trim. It really turned out awesome. The blue one I had the perfect piece of old lace, same color as the bunny and the green one I had a very old piece of green ric rack that was the perfect color. I used wool for the back sides. I  think I might have to do them again.

I think this one is my favorite. Pink and brown!

The box and now I am done. Wow...lotsa pictures.!

Has this ever happened to you...

okay I can't be the only one who falls down. I got up for work yesterday. I get all ready plenty of time. Look good...gather all of my belonging and step outside. It is raining so I am going to use that as my excuse. I go down the steps...no problem...but as I am turning the corner to go around my hubbys PT Cruiser to get to my car. WHAM. I miss step off the edge of driveway and down I go. I hit my head on the bumper of DH car and knock myself out. I come to because I cannot breath. I landed on my fist, on my boob..and the wind is completely knocked out of my lungs. I am gasping for air...thinking how am I going to reach my phone before I die. Remember it is raining(pouring now) I finally get to sit up and start breathing better. NO One is around...is that good or bad...I get myself back into the house. I am soaked, purse full of water. I look like a drowned rat.  I have to call into work and tell them I have a concussion, hurt my wrist, knee, pinkie(bleeding) and somehow have jammed my shoulder and cannot lift my arm. Now..I am feeling better although the doc said I couldn't drive for 48hrs because of concussion. So I have to miss work again. I have another doc appt tomorrow at 4. I hope they can tell me about my shoulder. My DH smart arse that he is ...says I need life alert..I have fallen and I can't get up...all I can do is agree...and laugh. Hopefully I can stitch..I have 2 exchanges coming up! Why do I procrastinate.....

On a happy note...it has finally warmed up and we seem to be out of the deep freeze. I can actually see grass! Green Grass! I wanted to post this beautiful tree that had frost all over it from the freezing fog that we had one day. It is so beautiful one of my favorite parts of winter.  Hope that I gave you a chuckle today and hope to be more attentive to my blog. Till next time happy stitching!
